City Streets

Clayton city streets are maintained by a small group of dedicated employees. Every weekday morning they are emptying refuse containers in downtown, sweeping streets and sidewalks, putting up and taking down flags and banners. They clean-up the public areas and help businesses and residents remove fallen trees and autumn leaf fall. During the growing season they mow city right of ways and in the winter clear snow from city streets. City workers report city street potholes, broken sidewalks and other city owned infrastructure needing repairs.  Citizens are always encouraged to call City Hall to report city infrastructure issues.
