A City Attorney is appointed by the City Council for representing the City in all litigations in which the City of Clayton is a party and advises the Council, Mayor, Officers, and Employees of the City concerning legal aspects of the City’s affairs. The City Attorney may serve as the City Court Solicitor and perform such other duties as may be request by the City Council.
